I’m a born-and-raised Floridian who never quite fit the beachy stereotype.
I like downtowns more than shorelines, museums more than nature trails, and wandering historic streets or Main Street over just about anything else. I’ve thought about leaving Florida more times than I can count but the truth is, I don’t do cold well, and there’s something about this place that keeps pulling me back in.
Fox & Jade grew out of that tension: loving where you live and wanting more from it.
This space is part travel journal, part creative studio. I share local places that feel meaningful, day trips that break routine, recipes inspired by moments worth remembering, and handmade jewelry designed as small, wearable reminders of where you’ve been or where you’re dreaming of going next.

My Favorite Things
01. Family Time
Hanging out with my goofball family is my absolute favorite thing to do. They choose not to be on the internet so here is a photo of my kitties fighting over their favorite chair instead.
02. Small businesses
I adore finding new small businesses and shouting my love for favorites from the rooftops.
03. Gardening
I have found a deep love in gardening. I don’t have a vast garden but my little space makes me happy. I am a pro at growing jalepenos.
04. Disney
Exploring disney as an adult with an (almost) adult child is by far the best way to experience the magic. The childlike wonder is gone but so are the tears and exhaustion of tending to a child. We love trying the foods at all the festivals and exploring the lands.
03. Travel
Exploring new places has always been a hobby but in 2023 I was able to visit Japan and now I have severe wanderlust!
05. Bread
Am i technically allergic to gluten? Yes. Does that stop me? Absolutely not.

What is Fox and Jade?
This is by far one of the most asked questions I get and the answer is not interesting unfortunately.
My photography business years ago was my first and middle name. It was classic, unique, I loved it. Sadly, Google thinks my first name is spelled wrong and it would do the whole “Did you mean this?” and even my closest friends would automatically click that button. Wouldn’t be bad except there is a lovely photographer in another state who shares my name and her first name is spelled correctly per Google. I had clients asking me if I had moved out of state so at that point I knew that name was not going to make a comeback when I reopened.
Fox and Jade are two random words I put together and liked how they sounded. I think foxes are cute and jade is both a lovely plant and a beautiful rock.
